My final project-based assignment at Lapland UAS, which was my commissioned bachelor thesis. The topic was sustainable tourism development in Vietnam tackling plastic pollution in the travel industry. The thesis was commissioned by EXO Travel. The research was about sustainability, sustainable tourism cases and in Vietnam, plastic bottled pollution in the country and its impacts, consumption paradox of bottled water and the Refillable Bottle Initiative project as a viable solution. During this period, I analyzed and applied qualitative research methodology to identify existing and potential drawbacks while providing appropriate solutions to further improve and expand the project.
SERVICE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT FOR SANTAMUS 2019

Commissioned by Santamus - a local experience restaurant in Rovaniemi, our team had developed a service product and strategic marketing plan for the Chinese market. With the mentor of lecturers from Lapland University of Applied Sciences, our team created a detailed customer persona, conducted market research, created marketing stories, experience design canvas, and developed an adequate service package. The final outcome was presented to the commissioner in support of their development and expansion.
ARCTIC DESIGN CONFERENCE 2019

An annual city event dedicated to design professionals, experts, students, and tourists at Culture House Korundi, Rovaniemi, Finland. The theme of this year was "Design for Happiness" with the participation of 13 local and international designers and business experts as speakers. They would share their stories and how the theme incorporated into their industries. Our team were assisting in organizing the 2-day conference:
Proposed improvement ideas to the Conference Manager.
Onsite facility and details organized: decor, catering, equipment preparation, interacting activities for the guests, invitee and special guests check-in reception, and material promotion.
Team-worked with the museum staff and coordinated among the conference team.
BLITZ - BUSINESS IN LITERATURE ZONES (NORTHERN PERIPHERY AND ARCTIC PROGRAMME 2014-2020). PARTICIPATION IN 2019

In order to improve and develop the literary tourism industry among European countries, BLITZ project was funded by Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme. Since Lapland University of Applied Sciences was a partner in this project, the tourism students (DPT16) were divided into teams to collect data, identify local tourism key measurements (measure employment rate, public awareness, and engagement with the Literary Tourism sector), interview partners and support the project research. Our team was in contact with the Regional Council of Kainuu, to conduct interviews and gather information and data for the project. The necessary content was later transcribed, analyzed, and submitted to the project leader.
PROFITABLE TOURISM PRODUCT AND MARKETING DEVELOPMENT FOR ROVANIEMI LOCAL HERITAGE MUSEUM 2018

The project was organized by Lapland University of Applied Sciences and was commissioned by Rovaniemi Local History Museum Pöykkölä. With a provided target market: Chinese tourists, our team had developed a small-scale themed culture and heritage tourism product/service for the museum. From the research data of the market, we also created a marketing campaign for the mentioned product.
WINTER DAY EVENT WITH FORESTRY MUSEUM OF LAPLAND 2018

As a partnership between Lapland University of Applied Sciences and the Forestry Museum of Lapland, the Tourism Degree students (DPT16) in collaboration with the museum staff, together with organizing a Winter Day event for primary students of Rovaniemi Steiner School. I was part of the program team to plan and organize game activities, food and beverages provision, tours around the museum, and others. The Winter Day Event was an educational program, to help the students gain more historical knowledge of the city while promoting the popularity of the museum.
VAPPU 2017Â - FINNISH LABOUR DAY EVENT

Vappu is a holiday in Finland in celebration of the workers in Finland. These days it is more associated with students since it symbols the end of the school year. In 2016, I was a part of the Marketing Team of DPT16 (Degree Program in Tourism - Class of 2016) to organize a memorable annual event for university personnel and students. MTI - Multidimensional Tourism Institute financed the event with the estimated budget of 1800€. I was working with team members to plan and carry out a digital marketing campaign with online and offline contents through social media and other channels.
